Man has an extraordinary capacity for dreaming. And some manage to achieve their dream, that’s what Michel Tosar has been doing for some weeks now. After more than 15 years in charge at la Dacquoise, Michel and his wife Lorena chose to give fresh impetus to their fine eating establishment.
They changed it but not really. How could they possibly leave behind any of the values that make their restaurant? So, yes, the name has changed. Yes, they’ve dropped so-called gastronomic fare for simpler food. But when someone’s passionate about creating fine work, when they’re respectful of the best produce prepared just so, with generosity as a by-word, nothing really changes. They simply continue to feed people very well in a slightly different way. This new way manifests itself in the grill set-up and the plancha. What you get is a perfect combination of a master at work, unbeatable produce and an impeccable sense for cooking times. No fireworks, no bluffing, just the best, fresh ingredients and good humour.
