"Les 2 Frères" (The 2 Brothers) have been bringing souls together, mixing artists with businessmen, with the various generations rubbing shoulders with one another for a good twenty years now – they pull the trick off by offering good food at very reasonable prices.
This spirit of openness has even found its way onto the menu which offers French brasserie cuisine always on the lookout for new produce and flavours from all over the world.
Human, full of charm and soul, the restaurant run by Patrick Roth, who is a former maths teacher, does hint at his former life in that the menu offers dishes as hypotheses, theses and other demonstrations. But that was all a long time ago! Nowadays this hyperactive man has given up equations and algebra in favour of the far more alluring geometry of an establishment which plays various roles in turn: a modernist night bar, a café-theatre and a restaurant.
This indefatigable entertainer has gradually swapped his café-theatre rank and file for a team of flavour designers. The scenery is the same on both sides of the stage: friendship and human warmth are always top of the bill! Nowadays, the show and the essential "suspense" are provided by changes to the menu and the décor. Even the toilets are astonishingly beautiful and well worth a visit.
