Dôme

The Dôme is a unique venue. It began with a love story, Julien and Sophie’s story. Julien is a young French chef whose work-journey included Pierre Gagnaire, Alain Ducasse and Bernard Pacaud. Sophie is a former assistant to Antwerp fashion designer Dries Van Noten.
And the love theme continues to resonate when Julien and Sophie fell head over heels for the building which was to become the Dôme. It was built in 1893, designed by Jos Bascourt, apostle of Art Nouveau. It has been a deluxe tea and coffee house then a police station until it became abandoned. You only have look into Julie and Sophie’s eyes to see how delighted they are with their discovery of this extraordinary building in this splendid area of Antwerp.
And so this is where Julien does his thing, a cuisine that’s all about the produce, exceptional produce and that’s what makes the Dôme tick.
